Holy Land Encounter

The most important events in history took place in the small stretch of land in the eastern Mediterranean which we call the Holy Land.  A visit to this land has had a transforming effect on many people, and this continues to be true today.

Holy Land Encounter is a one-week trip for university-aged men to visit, learn about, and pray before the holy sites of Jesus’ life and of the Old and New Testament.

Each day will be spent visiting sites throughout the country, including in Galilee, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ein Karem, and the Dead Sea.  The trip will help participants to deepen their connection to the life of Christ and to learn about the long history behind this important land.

Along with staying at Saxum Conference Center, the group will benefit from Saxum’s Visitor Center which offers a historical, geographical and theological explanation of the main events of salvation history.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Application and Payment Information

Application deadline: March 1, 2017

Acceptance: Students will be notified of acceptance by March 15, 2017.

Cost: $990 (covers lodging, meals, museums, tours, and transportation within Israel).  The cost does not cover airfare or pocket spending money.

Deposit: A $100 refundable deposit is due at the time of application.  The deposit will apply toward the cost.

Payment deadline: The full balance of the trip is due by June 10, 2017.

Things to read: The more you prepare, the more you will get out of the visits to the Holy Sites.  We will soon post here some suggestions for books you might read ahead of time.
